Caring for your environment:
When you purchase furniture from our range you can do so with a clear environmental conscience. Cane or rattan as it is also known is a perennial grass that grows throughout South East Asia. Most of the cane used by suppliers to MGM is grown in Indonesia where it is harvested after it reaches several meters in length. When you buy a piece of our furniture you do so in the knowledge that a readily available natural product has been used and the plant continues to thrive long after you have begun to enjoy your new furniture. MGM also works with the suppliers and staff to minimise the effect they have on the environment.

Caring for your furniture
Cane by its very nature is a natural product which will exhibit natural characteristics, such as growth marks, colour variation and other visible differences as you might find with some other natural products such as wood or leather goods.
Follow these few easy steps to help maintain your furniture and keep it looking as good as new:
1. dust the furniture frames and vacuum the woven areas with a soft brush.
2. to rejuvenate areas of rattan that are faded or scuffed please apply a proprietary brand of stain or polish using a soft cloth.
3. do not place any hot objects, such as coffee or tea pots directly onto the table surfaces.
4. to prolong the appearance of your furniture we would recommend the use of blinds, particularly in south facing conservatories.
5. we would advise that were our furniture is used in conjunction with any wooden laminate flooring, that felt pads are fixed to all contact areas.
6. cane is a natural product which is grown in the rain forests of southeast asia, shade variations and finish may differ throughout each item, these characteristics are a unique feature of cane and rattan which enhances the overall appearance of these products.
